The Silent Invasion
The documentary highlights the threat posed by new invasive species to the Mediterranean ecosystem. We showcase the disruption these invaders are causing, endangering native species and biodiversity.
Our film features Arne Wunder, a German spearfisherman, local diving legend Dimitrios Exarhouleas and marine biologist Emilio Mancuso.
Filmed between June 2022 and May 2023, we witnessed the significant spread of invasive species, displacing and negatively impacting marine life. However, amidst the challenges, we also discovered hope in the concept of marine protected areas.
